Thank you for your interest in DATMAN, The Revolution in Tape Storage. The DATMAN software family consists of the following four packages which are differentiated by their maximum per-cartridge data capacity set by the driver software.

The DATMAN-99 Freeware (DATMAN-1GB) package that you are about to download includes the DATMAN-DOS components, also. However, its SETUP program runs only on Windows 95/98. If you need to install the DOS-only version on MS-DOS, you need to download DATMAN-DOS Freeware.

Although the maximum capacity per tape is restricted to 1 GB, the Freeware is more than a demo-only package. It is quite suitable for light- and medium-duty tape operations on a daily basis. Note: in the event that you decide to purchase a licensed version of DATMAN, the tapes you have made using the Freeware will show more space available as soon as you use a version with higher capacity limit.

Steps to Obtain DATMAN-99 Freeware:

You can proceed with downloading the DATMAN file immediately.
You will receive a separate E-Mail with a Serial Number and an Install Key which will be needed in the DATMAN installation step.
